{"id":318,"date":"2023-11-22T09:47:30","date_gmt":"2023-11-22T09:47:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.0.1.147\/?page_id=31"},"modified":"2024-07-02T04:42:41","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T04:42:41","slug":"developers-fees","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.hashcashconsultants.com\/developers-fees\/","title":{"rendered":"Developers Fees"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"developer_sidebar_right_inner_sect anim4\">\n<h3>Fees<\/h3>\n<p>The HC Net requires small fees on transactions and minimum balances on accounts in order to prevent people from overwhelming the network and to aid in prioritization.<\/p>\n<p>There are two special values used to calculate fees:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>base fee<\/strong>(currently 100 Jots) is used in transaction fees.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>base reserve<\/strong> (currently 0.5 HCX) is used in minimum account balances.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"developer_sidebar_right_inner_sect anim4\">\n<h3>Transaction Fee<\/h3>\n<p>The fee for a transaction is the number of operations the transaction contains multiplied by the base fee, which is 100 Jots (0.00001 HCX).<\/p>\n<div class=\"big_font_size\">(# of operations \u00d7 base fee)<\/div>\n<p>For example, a transaction that allows trust on an account\u2019s trustline (operation 1) and sends a payment to that account (operation 2) would have a fee of 2 \u00d7 base fee = 200 jots.<\/p>\n<p>HC Net deducts the entire fee from the transaction\u2019s source account, regardless of which accounts are involved in each operation or who signed the transaction.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"developer_sidebar_right_inner_sect anim4\">\n<h3>Transaction Limits<\/h3>\n<p>Each HC Net node usually limits the number of transactions that it will propose to the network when a ledger closes. If too many transactions are submitted, nodes propose the transactions with the highest fees for the ledger\u2019s transaction set.
